What is FamilyCast?

FamilyCast by Focus on the Family Australia is home to over 350 inspiring, thought-provoking videos on marriage, parenting and life, as well as documentaries, discussion series, and kids entertainment.


Aiming to strengthen and uplift, FamilyCast is filled with wholesome content within easy reach for family so you can always find the support and encouragement you need.

Where can I watch FamilyCast?

FamilyCast is currently available primarily through a web browser at FamilyCast.com.au on compatible smart TVs, set-top boxes and devices, mobiles and tablets.


FamilyCast is also on Android mobile devices through the Google App Store, and Apple devices through the Apple Apps Store. 

How do I watch or subscribe to FamilyCast?

All FamilyCast content is free to access for everyone through a simple sign up with your email address.


FamilyCast is available for free through the generosity of supporters of Focus on the Family Australia. If you’d like to give to help grow the video library and cover the costs of maintaining the platform, we’d be very grateful for your generosity today - you can give here.

How do I access my account after subscribing?

To access your account, click Sign In at the top right of the page and enter your email address. You can request a sign-in link be sent to your email address to sign in without the need for your password or you can enter your password without requesting a sign-in link.
How do I reset my password?
On the Sign In page, click Sign in with password and then click on set new password, enter the email associated with your account, and click Send Instructions. The instruction email will arrive in your inbox shortly. In the email, click Reset Password, and you will be directed to select a new password before being redirected to the catalog page. If you have trouble remembering your password, you can also use our Passwordless Sign-In option by requesting a Sign-In Link on the login page.

How do I access the video content library?

Once you sign into your account, navigate to Explore Content in the top menu to access all of our videos.

Can I download videos to save them to my device?
Our content is available for streaming only and cannot be downloaded directly to your device. However, you can access it anytime by signing into your account. If you're using our mobile app, you can save videos for offline playback, allowing you to watch your chosen videos later without an internet connection.
Why am I experiencing buffering or playback issues?
Buffering or playback issues are often related to your internet connection. We recommend a minimum speed of 25 Mbps for smooth streaming. You can also try refreshing the page, using a different browser, or clearing your cache.

Is FamilyCast not-for-profit? 

Yes, we are. Under the hood, we’re supported by an extension of Focus on the Family Australia and we’re passionate about creating a space for wholesome and curated content the whole family can enjoy and be blessed by.


We are continuing to grow our library of content, and we plan to invest in more home-grown content, produced here in Australia.


When FamilyCast first launched, it was supported by subscribers – thank you to all those generous supporters who helped to launch and sustain the platform in its early days.


Now, we want everyone to benefit from these resources and we will continue to grow the content library with more free programs. If you benefit from this content and are in a position to help, please consider making a donation through Focus on the Family Australia to help great resources like FamilyCast grow and ensure all of the content remains free to access for all.

What happens to paid content I have purchased?  

There are some videos sourced from our partners which require payment. Any paid content will remain accessible through FamilyCast.


If there is a need to remove any paid content, we will provide access for you to download the video files in a digital format. 

Can I play FamilyCast with my small group or church? 

Yes, we encourage you to share any content from FamilyCast in a small group or church setting.

How is my data handled by FamilyCast?
